Great pic for sure.
Whatever you name your abode, be sure and have a sign made that says, "John Hunt Morgan slept here."

One of the great things about this forum is the opportunity to look through other's eyes and experience a small look at another part of the world
I may not care to live where it snows but I appreciate the opportunity you have given us to share this still and beautiful moment from your world.
Cheers

Well, I could, but John Hunt Morgan kicked the mortal coil some 70 years before my house was built, though he may have passed through the area once. Now, why should I have this sign??

Rex.

Hmmm, always thought you'd have an old mansion Rex...
And, thinking it through, I'm guessing John Hunt Morgan didn't do much sleeping during his ride around/through Cincinnati...
Would make a conversation piece. Had a great great grandfather who farmed not too far from you who was a "Squirrel Hunter" that took on Morgan's troops during that raid.

A mansion? Well, perhaps in my dreams I do.
No, actually, I live comfortably but pretty modestly in a 1930 Tudor Revival - complete with timbers, stucco, masonry exterior walls, and tile roof. It has ample space for one guy, but it's hardly what you'd call a mansion - more like a cottage. I took this photo last year in March after a snowfall not too unlike the one we had today.
There's that gnarly tree again. I despise it so.
But I'm glad that Jamie finds beauty in it.
Regards,
Rex.

The house across the street looks really nice and I would have thought the picture was snapped at 0700.

Are you sure you didn't scan those photos from a holiday card? They're almost TOO perfect!
The snow is lovely to look at and I'm glad that I don't have to shovel it!

Cincinnati in the snow! We're getting lots of emails from the U of C canceling events etc. Happy new year, Rex.
