Smashing! I'm not sure if this holds true for kilt waistcoats, but usually the bottom button of a 5 button vest is left open. Just a bit of fashion trivia.

So, the party went quite well. There were about 300 people in attendance. There were many, many positive comments, and several people asked to have their picture taken with me. Even the next day at work I was still receiving comments and questions. It was a big hit, and I'm so glad I decided to wear it.  The picture below includes my wonderful wife, Erin.
