I need to make one of these events one day.. The stories I have to tell of naked bankers and incontinent dogs..... But those are probably best left for another day.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

My understanding, based on the first post in this thread, is that we would gather at 7 or so. At any rate that is when Atlanta Kiltie (Ben) and I were planning on arriving, but if I hear from him, we could be earlier.

I'm adding another maybe to the kilt night. Another kiltie has been discovered here in my home town and he is also a craftsman of kilt belt buckles. I extended the invitation to him to come and tilt a pint with us and possibly share with us some of his unique buckle designs.

I do have plans with the little lady tonight--Saturday of the big event--so I'll see if I can swing her thinking toward a pub visit. However, it sounds like it's turning into a guys' outing, so she'll probably not want to participate.
Don't forget to discuss marching in the St. Paddy's parade here in Conyers while you're all there. We could make quite a showing if we were able to turn out in force. In fact, we'd probably rule the town for a while. (Not that that's such a big deal. It's not much of a town! )
But I can assure you that we'd have a lot of fun and there'd be plenty of Guiness and other refreshing beverages available.

Just a thought: establishing a set monthly SEKS Kilt Night.
St. Patrick's in Conyers sounds like fun. int:
I propose establishing a specific Saturday of the month such as the third, to have a SEKS Kilt Night and have it at various sections of the Metro Area. Brasselton, Downtown/ Mid Town Atlanta, Decatur/Avondale Estates, Marietta, Alpharetta and certainly Conyers.

A day late and a dollar short... I got caught up at an American Cancer Society fundraiser last night; however, we took the kids downtown for the circus today. On the way home everyone was hungry. We stopped at Paddy's for a couple of pints and a patty melt. Sorry I missed the gathering!
