It's a good opportunity to "get away with" wearing the kilt when it may not be allowed at other times.

The first time I wore a kilt it was a friends kilt that I borrowed and went to a Halloween party. So I say go for it.

Any excuse is a good one. I personally like to use the fact that my beard is still red, my eyes are still green, and I'm still breathing. That's my excuse.

Yes, it's a good way to break the ice. Once you see how many compliments you get, it will give you the confidence to continue wearing it, holiday or not.

My kilt is a 16oz 8 yard very nice kilt, do you think it's to fancy to wear to school? Plus...I got home ech. that same day...wouldn't like to get my kilt dirty the first day I wear it in public. So I'm getting some second thoughts...what do you guys think?
And I know how the kids in my school will react, they will all probobly want to find out if I'm wearing something under it and pulling it and stuff....I kinda don't want that...but should I let that stop me?

Dude, if you are going to be a kiltie, you have get beyond these nagging doubts. Your 16oz 8 yard kilt will hold up to a lot more abuse then you will encounter wearing it to school one day (unless you're taking a class called "Mud Wrestling"). Kilt checks just go with the territory, so just be prepared for it. Do it!
