Looking good Mein
I look forward to more photos as this one goes along, I'm sure the lucky raffle winner will love it.

Thanks Cloves and McMurdo. I can't wait to see how this shapes up as well. I myself always have that excitement and anticipation of seeing a formless piece of fabric transform into a proto-kilt and then emerge as a functional and wearable kilt.

Mein, are you saying that the denim pleats have stayed in place without topstitching even through a wash?? Or are you just "refreshing" the garment between uses, not running it through the machine. . . I've topstitched all the denim I've made and will likely continue to do so, although your "plain" pleats do have a lovely look to them.
The webbing and D-rings look great, too.

Sydnie ---oh no - no cotton pleat will survive through a machine wash. "Refresh" is right. I only meant to have this knife-pleated denim kilt dry-cleaned. I didn't want it to shrink over time. The guy who's getting the revK kilt said that he'll only have it dry-cleaned. So he's good to go.
Otherwise, stitching the pleat edges through to the hem is the way to keep the pleats.
I remember somebody here asking about non-leather material as kilt straps and I replied with either the same fabric as the kilt or webbing+Dring. So here you go.
Thanks for the compliments.

Hi Mein,
You are doing a wonderful job. That raffle winner sure is one lucky guy. I can't believe that you made your first just 9 months ago. It's has if you've been doing it for years. You are very talented. I can't wait for the day when I can have a kilt made by you. I'm certainly looking forward to it. Awesome !!!

I like the d-ring straps. Do any of the kiltmakers do that?

Thanks for the comments and compliments guys.
I thought that a second strap would be both functional and would add to the look.
