Great pics, Ron. Love the backdrops. The wind will blow any way she likes and even a heavyweight will catch some air. You just grin, deal with it, and enjoy the cool breeze. I see, Ron, has it down perfect.

So, in answer to the question, my SWK standards stay down really well, as does my USAK semi trad. The PV is the same weight as the acrylic, but it's stiff and I suspect is made a lot better. I don't know if the make has a bearing, but I do know that I don't worry about wind in my USAK. My Sport Kilt, on the other hand... If there's even the slightest breeze, it comes up to my ears. I never, EVER go reg in that thing.

I was out at Ikea last weekend, and it was WINDY. Kilt stayed down. The week before, barley a breeze, and the kilt was testing my reflexes.

Getting in an out of my truck on windy days has taught me to be mindfull of when and how a kilt can be blown around. A near expolsure once or twice and the hand to the kilt maneuver became instinct.

If it's windy and I need to know I'll be staying modest, I wear the WPG Gordon.

I wear my WPG Gordon when it's windy out. So far no problems. The cost was very good for the kilt I got from them.

WPG Gordon Highlander in 70+ km an hour winds, it hardly moves under these conditions.

The gap between my garage and shed acts like a wind tunnel and I was putting the rubbish out a couple of weeks ago in my WPG Gordon and it certainly blew up! The thing was that it didn't stay up for long, unlike my PV Black Watch which blows around like tissue paper.
The Kilt is my delight !

A good kilt pin does wonders for my semi-trad, though precaution and prevention are still needed when the wind blows. My greatest adversary is those floor mounted AC/Heat vents. That's about the only time I've nearly done a Ms. Monroe.

It looks as though McMurdo is having a serious conversation with that bush!
Wind is an issue, strome weight is the only way to go on windy days.
