You look very sharp there, Spartan. It sounds like the kilted evening was a success! But, what did you get to eat??

What a menu! I have a Smithwick's in the fridge. But not for much longer I think...

Good on ya Spartan. You look very smartly dressed. Progressive dinners are always fun. It's especially nice to get to sample what each couple has as their "show piece" of eatery for their portion of the evening.

So did you and the other hosts offer up the progressive dinner to the auction, or were you part of the winning bid?

Ah, we finished up the left-overs -- mussels, wings, corned beef sandwiches. Was good.

We offered it up for auction, along with the other hosts. Once the limo drove the guests off, we were done for the evening. By the nature of the meal, we didn't have a lot of clean-up to do. The next course was a traditional Cajun meal, served by a couple from Mississippi. I understand that the whole evening was a winner.

Looks like we have a vote for Smithwick's on this thread. That's my preference. And, it's on tap at the Irish pub three miles from our house.

Looking very sharp! I have one question, is it proper for the flaps on the top of the shirt to go over the bow tie or underneath?

I would like the answer to that too! I've never felt that I've made it work right either way.
