That's great Meinfs. Sorry you won't be making it, I look forward to getting together at another event. A DC/MD/VA kilt night would be great. Perhaps we could form a group that meets regularly say every month or two, selecting different locations around the area to meet.
I'm always looking for a decent restaurants and this would be a good way to check out some that I might night just go out and try or haven't heard of before.
Put me on your list for future contacts.

I heard about this on NPR.
Unfortunately, I'm saving all my pennies (and dollars) for my trip Home this summer

That sounds like a great idea.

Heard, today on the WTOP radio news station advertising the event if you call give the promotion code 'chieftains30' and get a 30% discount on your tickets.

30% ??!! That would have been nice to know. It could be that it applies to a third party seller. If you go on-line and look around, som tickets are going for double the face value. I ended up going directly to the Kennedy Center for mine and still ended up calling them t find out which seats were available. I ended up going with a box seat. Never had one before, so I thought what an interesting way to see the Cheiftains. I'll let you know if it was worth the price.
I went to the Verizon Center around Christmas to see TSO and had a floor seat up near the stage (about ten rows back) that cost about the same per ticket. That was a great concert, but I was a bit bummed as I had two tickets and couldn't get anyone to go with me.

My wife is still deciding if she can go. I hope to be there and will get my ticket(s) when she decides. The 30% off is obtained by calling the Washington Performing Arts Society, the number listed on the ad Mein posted. I listen to WTOP constantly and Friday was the first time I heard the advert.

Tell her to get off the Blarney Stone (LOL). I'm sure it will be a great concert. Hope to see you both there!

Yum, sounds good! Next time I'm down in that area, I'll have to try and remember to stop by for a bite and a pint!
I'm still looking for a great Irish pub in DC. I've found a few good ones, but I'm still looking for the great one to call home away from home.
