Ted, you always pull off the best look of any one around. Well, almost anyone at least.
Thanks for sharing your photos from Scotch-Irish Day.

Now that you have signed off on the wide brim, straw hat for use with the kilt, the universe is back in balance.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Well, back when they held the huge parties with a piper, there was a great deal of booze. They have become a dry household since, and this is the main reason the parties have dried up.
I don't drink, so not a big deal to me.
* Phil, I didn't explain that enough in the first post. No offence intended, and I apologize. Now that I realize that it is an offencive title, I have put a note in the beginning of the post explaining what I ment. *

Thanks, Bloke. I am always worried that I have mixed up the order of the pictures.

And thanks everybody for your replies. I did have pictures of last years Day, but I never got them in their own thread. They had flat caps and white hose with the kilt, though, so maybe it was for the best.

I hadn't been out and about in a kilt since last November, so I noticed a few things.
First, it is in the low nineties F (mid thirties C) here right now, and it was comfortable to wear the kilt. The hose are fine, heat wise on the legs, but I think I am just not used to the feel of them on my feet.
Second, My belt slid upward in the back several times from sitting in the SUV seat. I didn't have any problem with getting in the SUV, but the sporran and seatbelt got tangled once. At dinner, we sat in a booth, I just took the sporran off and sat it beside me, so the cloth I put over my lap would stay there while I ate.
