The brown was mostly to let me wear my tan suede combat boots with my kilt. All of my other kit is black. I am still looking for a great brown kilt belt.

The muskrat was a pretty good find at a great price. I wanted a nice formal sporran but, like many, couldn't pay 200-300 dollars for one. I didn't really want a rabbit sporran - they look great I KNOW - I just wanted something different. The seal thing bothers me a bit so the muskrat fit the bill for me. Plus - It may not be perfectly correct - I wore it to a party last weekend with my non-formal evening wear - aran sweater, black polo, USAKilts MacDonald and black wing-tips (hose of course) and it looked great dressed down.

I would have simply worn the new brown but............alas no brown belt yet.

I have the black equivalent of the brown leather number that you purchased.

All in all, I couldn't ask for more, looks nice, is rather tough, and didn't set me back very much. A perfect day-wear sporran that looks the part with boots, soccer jerseys, and the like.

Congrats on that one and the beautiful muskrat piece, that's a great score!
