My wife and I do a lot of Flee Marketing and often see ladies purses,
leather at very cheap prices, less than a dollar, most times. I will start to look closer, and start picking them up if anyone would want them.

I believe the book that Ted is referring to is So You're Going to Wear the Kilt by J. Charles Thompson. I found a copy in my local library and used the sporran plans to make this sporran. In the thread about my sporran you'll find links to another helpful thread or two.

Yes, that is the book, and I couldn't quite remember all the name and author information. Anyway, DWFII made at least one of those from those instructions, and has a thread or two on it.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

RedBeard- I like that plan. i have a plan sporran that is of military origin. Simple and plain.
No tassels, just a pin lock.
