Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Stirling Castle)

On my last trip to Sterling I was lucky enough to get a B&B just out side the Castle and made numerous trip there. I have to dig out the photo albums
but it is so intresting,we just could'nt leave.

Our tour of the Highlands was great also, but the most fun was driving ourselves around. My then girlfriend's family lived in Northumberland and we
used the car. It was my first time driving British Isle style, round-a-bout etc,
and I had an absoute ball.

Like every one else I didn't want to leave.

Awesome! I didna know about the tartan glengarrys though. First time I've seen one as part of a regimental uniform.

Great pics, I visited the castle 2 years ago & my favorite coffee cup is still the one I got in the Military Museum

Great pix! Interesting comments in the thread. The current Chief of Clan MacCallum Malcolm was a Captain in the A&G. His father George Ian Malcolm was a Lieutenant Colonel in the A&G and is given credit in founding the Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.
