Keep in mind if the individual is larger than you, call for a Group BASHING!
"I'm IN", don't particularly like those who remove things that don't belong to them.

If it was insured, might you not be able to recover the cost since it is lost? Or, do they not care that it was either shipped without a proper label, or the label was lost in transit?

Perhaps the bugger that has it is in the facilities we are talking of pillaging in a different thread.

I'll keep an eye out in Normal Town for you. At least until NSCS goes away.

You could go visit some pawn stores, 2'nd hand stores, shady stores, etc nearby. A lot of stolen items like that ends up there.
Hope you'll get a kilt soon! (your own or a new one)

The thing is no one would take it where I work. Right now, I don't even know if the kilt was in the box when it was delivered. The box was open and damaged So...I'll have to wait and see what happens.
What is also interesting is that B&S tpyically sews a tag with your name and the kilt measurements in it. If the kilt were delivered to school it should have found it's wat to me anyway.

I'm with Ron: contact the good folks at Burnett & Struth and see what they might be willing to do for you. I really think the onus is on them to play nice, since the mailing label didn't have a name on it. In fact, I'd think they'd be able to look that up in their computer system. If it's their fault your name didn't show up, they need to replace your kilt.
If it's not, I'm still willing to bet they'd cut you a substantial deal on a replacement. I know: it's not a perfect solution, but it's something.
Best of luck, brother. Oh -- and people who steal suck.

My bet is on eBay listings. . . and yes, the seller and/or shipper bear some responsibility here. Be sure to follow up on those fronts and let us know.
Best of luck!

That sucks. I hope that you find a reasonable solution. Keep us posted.
