thankyou for the great info guys, now i guess i have to decide what kind of test to get, it seems the blood of the isles site is dead or changed.

Here is a tip to save you some money when ordering your DNA genealogy test kit.
Try FamilyTreee DNA look on the Upper Right hand corner of the web page and type in your Surname Surname Search box. on the resulting page scroll down and click place order.
You get a discount by agreeing to share your test results and possible "match" to other family relatives.
