Yes, dogs are welcome. There are several there every year.

Several years ago we had it in weather pretty much just like this (not quite so windy though, but much colder). There are usually several big tents and those pop-up gazebo type things there to get under.

That's too bad CajunCelt, I was looking forward to meeting you in person. The group that's organizing the picnic (the TSF&HG e-group) trys to do something every quarter. They call their evenings out "Scottish Invasions" instead of kilt nights. Maybe next time they get together, you can bring your pipes.

I maybe in town this weekend and I would be interested in showing up.. To be honest it would be my first time in public kilted. I will be nervous a bit since I do not know anyone there. It's something I can get over though... LOL

You'll also need something to drink (like Sam Adams Triple-Bock!) and lawn chairs.
There's going to be activities for the kids, including a haggis hunt. If you have something to play (fiddle, pipes, tinwhistle, guitar, bodhran, etc...), bring it along for a jam session. There's also going to be an area set aside for storytelling about clan/family stories/legends/myths, so if you have a good story to tell, let's hear it! Finally, there's going to be a door prize drawing. The catch is that you need to bring a gift to enter the drawing.
I plan to be there from 10am-2pm and then I've got to go to a soccer game.

Hyperkalemia I just found out that I can't eat anything with lots of potassium in it: potatoes, tomatoes, most meats, and a long list of other things, so I may just come out there and graze the grass.
