It is a very dark tartan and I wonder what it would look like kilted up? From a distance I think all you would see is the white line on a dark background.

However, I really like the symbolism in it!

Looks really very smart, which I think is due to the formality of the dark colours. The rationale behind the design is really well thought out too. Dark tartans aren't to everyones taste but I think they look super when used right and I think for a smart dinner this would look grand
