This is a good idea, I've discovered interest from several people at my college and it's hard to get sites to them sometimes.

so how about this....we get a design put together and then just make it public under the propaganda page for everyone to print..... avery cards run 14.99 for 200 or we could the other route like i mentioned b4 and the same # of cards is 4.42...... I would much rather just pay the 4.42 and use someone else's ink. color ink is almost as much as just buying a new cheap printer.

I second Vistaprint. I use them for all sorts of printing needs from cards to pens to t-shirts and the are constantly offering different freebies with exceptional quality on their work.

I would rather do the 'other person ink' method and pay for them.

I like the "You have met ____ from X Marks the Scot.Com" idea, also. It is like what I have on my old biker cards.

Here is the front and back of my Business Card. Note that XMarks has a prominent place on each one.

I print these up on my office Ink Jet Printer on business card stock, Each one costs far less than $.01 each even if you count the cost of the ink refills and the time it takes to tell it to print.

I would like it if we all used the same card. Unless we all used the "you've just met XXXXX, a member" cards.

We can get a great deal (cheap or free) on cards if we order a large amount, and perhaps use sponsorship. I would personally and enthusiastically throw in a couple of dollars to get some shipped out here to the Pac NW, and distribute them to the other WACKOS.

I think that the best way to do this is get some sponsorship (or chip in a few $$$ ourselves), and print up a large order of cards (universal design), use other people's ink, ship them out to regional contacts or others who are interested, and pass them out at games, kilt nights, walking down the street, etc.

If we go universal, and go with a large order, the price/card drops significantly!

The paper is generic business card stock readily available in any office supply store. I get mine in Staples. The stock I use is a light cream in color.
I buy a ream of it for about $6.00 and get 10,000 cards, 10 per sheet.

    Lightbulb

I like the concept that is being considered. I for one am willing to contribute financially to see this get going. Just tell me where to send the $$ and how to get my share of cards.
    Aye Yours.
