Hi Keri,
Welcome to XMarks from the other side of the Atlantic in Norfolk, England. Good luck with your tartan hunt and with the wedding.

Franklin, NC, is not that far from Spartanburg, so you might want to check us out at the Scottish Tartans Museum. We rent Black Watch kilts through our gift shop, and can supply sashes, yard goods, and other things you might need in that tartan.

Welcome
Welcome from NE Georgia, and be sure to come to the Greenville Games in June. I know Matt will be there and you will certainly get a lot of advice from all the rabble in attendance, some of it good.
Respectfully,
David

When my wife and I got married last September, we rented Black Watch kilts from the Scottish Tartans Museum. We were in very good hands. I know Mr. Newsome gets a lot of support from the rabble already, but I wanted to throw my two cents in as well.

Hello and Welcome from Savannah, GA.

First off from coastal North Carolina. The generally accepted origin of Dodd(s) is the border country, where they were reivers on the English side of the border. I have been able to trace my Dodds ancestry back to County Antrim in Ireland. When James I united England and Scotland many of the border rievers were sent to the plantations in Ireland but I have not been able to trace back that far. So to honor my Dodds connection I wear County Antrim, from the Marton Mills County Crest tartans.

Rocky at USA Kilts made the Kilt.
Other alternatives (from Tartan for Me) are Fife District and Tyneside District tartans.
Hope this helps.
Brian

Another welcome from Greenville. I know that the city of Greenville has a Pipe & Drums corps, that might be a good place to contact a contract piper. There's also the Greater Greenville Highland Games coming up soon. I'm sure you could make a number of contacts there should you choose to attend.
Welcome aboard, congratulations on the upcoming nuptials, good luck on the tartan hunt, and hope to see you at the games
Casey
