That's the scary part. And I have to raise a daughter in the midst of all of this garbage.
*sigh* I'm really resisting the urge to go off on a rant here...

Where do they come up with these things? One day we will look back and refer to this genre as slut rock. Too many clones with too little talent. If it is smut they want to sell then they should be up front about it. Not bashing smut. Just don't like the posing as a musical act. (Do I hear my parents' generation saying this about the Stones, Dead???) LOVELY TARTAN! Any publicity for tartans is good publicity.

Sorry
I have more respect for women who can sing then for the Stones who can not.
Just my humble opinion, as they say opinions are like....

There's nothing that makes me more irritated than a group of talentless women riding on sex appeal--especially when they dress and dance like strippers.
Yeah yeah, no wait, what?

I've always heard that "they" don't sing. One of them sings overdubs, and the rest of them lipsync. They are not my thing either, but I do have one of their numbers in my iTunes collection: a snappy version of the song "Right Now" from 1962.
Regards,
Rex.
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Nicole the lead singer does all the vocal tracks and the others do indeed lipsync. Funny thing is she is actually a decent singer, a cousin in LA sent me a track she did with some opera singer that was phenomenal! PCD are just a marketing tool like the Spice Girls, New Kids on the Block, and Menudo.

I wouldn't buy their music but I understand those who would. Every generation has acts like this - long on marketing, seemingly short on talent.
If you're my age you likely enjoyed watching the Partridge Family. Great singers? Nope. They had a good run though.
I used to like the Monkees. Remember them? Were they a talented band? Hmm, probably not, but did you know that Mike Nesmith went on to win the first Grammy Award awarded for Video of the Year for "Elephant Parts"?
Different strokes...

I had to look them up on wikipedia, as I did not know what/who you were talking about. I still don't, really, though my first impression is to side with Ali.
We live in interesting times, eh ? I'm glad I have boys. I don't think I have the strength to raise a daughter in this world today. I salute those of you that do.
