Being new here and not having my kilt yet...I get no vote.
However...
J. Gilligan's (I've been told KOBB meets here sometimes.)
400 East Abram, Arlington, TX <---- Excellent choice.
They have great food and maintain a pub atmosphere.
ROCKFISH on South Cooper.... not an irish pub at all. It's like a Chilis or Applebees...
THE FLYING SAUCER in Sundance Square would make an excellent choice as well. Great micro-brewery with a fantastic pub atmosphere.
If the event happens on the 28th and my gear has arrived...count me in.
(assuming this would be a full dress rehearsal, so to speak)

I go to the Flying Saucer every Tuesday and Wednesday, so look for me there if you are there sometime.
The above mentioned place sounds like a perfect place for the South Midcites meeting two months from now.
You wear whatever you want so you are welcome to come to any and all DFW Gatherings.

We had our December kilt night at J Gilligan's. They have sessions there on Tuesday nights, for those nearby who want to check it out.

Need food to offset the booze.
As it is suppose to be a North Midcites pub so that the North Midcites (and all Midcites) have a chance to come, I think we need to stick to those locations. We need you to do a 'search and recon" on the ones you mentioned and see if they ever would want us there, please. Report back...
You can say that there will be anywhere from 2 of us to 20 of us.
We will be wearing kilts.
We are wild (but not too wild).
We might be coming back in 3-4 months.

Do we want to move this to the South Midcities and swap the two?
Does the "Newbie" want to take on this operation (Merlin)??

I can not take on the job as of now.... I will be working my booty off from now until late June.
However.... come July... I would entertain planning a gathering on a weekend day at a wonderful place that has the best Irish nachos in the State.

Any takers on organizing this in the mid cities? If not, I'd say we should maybe skip to FW and have Hawk take it?

I'm handling the July 11, Saturday 5 pm event at the Fox & Hound in downtown FW. That's when SPC Boyd gets his kilt. Will that serve as our July kilt night?
Cheers, ColMac
