    David,

When my children were younger and watched "Thomas the Tank Engine and friends" my favorite character was Trefor the tractor.

Thanks for a looks at the real thing

    Cheers

I love steam rallies - alas had to miss the local one this weekend as was helping out on my local steam railway.

Great photos David. It's always enjoyable watch (and hear) the old steamers working.

Super pics, David, sorry I had to miss this one, so many competing activities this weekend.

Thanks for the great pictures! We used to enjoy going to the steam rallies when we lived in North Dakota on the Minnesota border, USA.

Hi David - Great pics. We have the Weeting Steam Fair only 5 miles away from us. It is always in July and is my 'birthday treat'. The smell of the damp smoke brings back so many memories. Fengate Farm in Weeting is the national steam traction engine driving school. It is the only place in the country where it is possible to pay to learn how to drive a traction engine. If one is lucky, early in the morning, it is possible to see half a dozen young men doing terrible things to a innocent field.

But the smuts and the smoke and the steam together - I think a steam fair is the one place I would have second thoughts about wearing a kilt. You are a brave man. That apart, I wonder how many picked up on the 'Whitehall 1212'

    Thanks again.

    Regards

    Chas
