Puffer, you always have the greatest posts and pictures. Great outfit. I see someone else beat me to the comments on the stable belt. I'm ordering one, too.

I am living proof that King James VI was correct in banning golf; it keeps my from practicing my archery. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with the golf.

I guess that's better than LOOKS BAD, FEELS GOOD.

And Lady M, do not despair. Try a cross bow. Totum dependeat

My LADY, that is where you are WRONG

Several of our TOP woman's shooters ( Prim Archery) are Very slender, & pette.

The neat thing about this "sport" you do not need a "heavy bow" . I only use a 35# & a lot of the "ladies" use a lot lighter.

Contact me if you & yours, are interested.

Thanks for this post, Puffer. I compete in lots of trad archery events, but I shoot a recurve most of the time, so I'm not exactly period-correct.

And LadyM...Puffer is absolutely correct. You don't need heavy-weight bows! Well matched equipment as light as 25# pull can be amazingly accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Florida has a number of traditional archery organizations; there is always a large contingient from the sunshine state at our trad archery championships here in NC. I'm sure a bit of web browsing will lead you to someone in your area.

I was also unaware of the whole stable belt universe! Amazing. Now I've got to make one of those for myself. (Auggh! Another DIY project!)

Nice. I love those woven quivers in warm weather. When it's 90 degrees outside that fox would get mighty warm!

And for Lady M....here's a link to the Florida trad group. Don't worry that the name has "bowhunter" in it. In every bowhunting group there are lots of folks who are only involved in the target aspects of the sport.
