From my short time here I think someone used the correct word "PRIDE".

It IS a great community to be part of and I'm proud to mention this forum to others. It is a place that I check with regularity and thoroughly enjoy the information that is shared here. I can't get this QUALITY any where else. I've only been here for a short period of time so I can't address the quality of the "past" posts, but I will say that that because of this forum, I've gotten more in tune with the heritage of which I am extremely proud. 'Nuf said about that. It is a place with which I start and end my day and is always fascinating to read ALL of the varied opinions contained in the threads.

WE are great!
I have not been a member here a year as yet. But I do feel a certain pride in being able to say "we" in regard to the forum. I do not agree with everyone here. That would be impossible as many of us have opposite veiws on such important issues as flat caps and white hose. But being a member here has allowed me to become a confident, almost full time (can't at work) kiltie. Thank you all, and I think there is an improvement, and it is because we are all helping each other. GO US!

I dunno Glen I'll have to think about it. Perhaps your standards have fallen?

Oh you all say you're for rubber chicken sporran's, but has anyone, other than the gracious Grant and myself, posted a pic of themselves wearing one? I think not! Time to put your money where your mouth is!

I can't speak to a change in the quality of posts because I haven't been here enough time to have a long-term perspective. I can say that I've wandered quite a bit around the net...lurked and read various forums that were potentially interesting, but I've never been drawn into joining, much less posting on, any other forum. I certainly haven't been to every site on the planet, but I daresay this one is pretty darn unique. In serious threads, joking threads, randomly odd threads and even in threads that get heated, there always seems to me to be an undercurrent of decency and mutual respect that is not only rare on the internet, it's rare anywhere. We're all human and the quality of our posts and our interaction is bound to ebb and flow, but I think those good qualities run pretty deep here and will always shine through.

I've been a member for a few months I am sure I have done little to raise the level but I will take credit for it if someone must.
In fact I would wear a rubber chicken sporran to the San Diego Games if I only had one.

Okay everybody agree, it's Bruce's fault we have become so sweet, sincere, considerate, helpful, (jeesh, this is beginning to sound like a boyscout motto or something), and informative. Its all on his head.
