I almost forgot about the funniest encounter of my day -

I work at a large company. I often times have to walk through different departments to get to where I need to go throughout the day. I was wearing my kilt and walking through our telesales department - I may know one or two people in that department. All of a sudden I heard someone (I found out her name was Kasey) say:

    Kasey: "Hey you..."

    Me: *looks around the room*

Kasey: "Yeah, you...the weird IT guy in the dress"

Me: *walks over to her desk and says* "Why yes, I am the weird IT guy - but this is a kilt...not a dress"

    Kasey: "I know it's a kilt"

Kasey: *whispers* "So, what's in your crotch pouch?" (referring to the sporran of course)

Me: *looks her dead in the eye and whispers in my sarcastic voice as I slowly close my eyes* "The magic...."

We both laughed then went on about our day

    Good times!

Bwahahahaha... That's the best answer I've ever heard in my life! I'm going to use that.

Welcome to the kilted lifestyle, good sir!

From a fellow IT guy, Congratulations! I am so jealous. I'm not allowed to wear my kilts to work.

It sounds like you well on your way to kilt addiction. I know because I have afflicted.

I like your answer as to the contents of your sporran. I'll have to remember that.

Love the Magic story and I think the T-shirt untucked looked fine. I have been tucking the t-shirt and Polo and it gives me a mushroom top (male muffin top.) Untucked on casual Friday works IMHO.

How do you like the thrifty?

Great pics, and there's nothing wrong with having your shirt untucked. Wear it how you want to. I wear my kilts with Chuck Taylors and untucked shirts quite often.

Hope you aren't a desktop tech that has to crawl under desks, though... that could get..um.. difficult.

You really have no specific need for a belt. Well made kilts are not supposed to need a belt. The loops most kilts have are intended for the sporran strap, not a belt.

This is not to say that some of us guys don't need a belt to keep the darn thing up!
