Congratulations on your new additions to the family.

Do you now find yourself with an uncontrollable urge to cross the road?

Yup. It's hand cast pewter made by Ted Sheldon. We sell them in our gift shop for around $25 I think. I don't know off hand if we have one in stock at the moment, but if you call the gift shop we can order one for you if we are out. Just make sure you ask for the Ted Sheldon celtic cross kilt pin, because we have some other celtic cross kilt pins available, as well.

Well, it was getting a bit crowded in the coop with all the kids plus the new chickens, so we decided to move the kids indoors. :-)

Seriously, we built a small coop in the back yard and our plan right now is to let them free range in the yard for most of the day and just return them to the coop at night. We've got a pretty good sized yard for them to range in, and a large empty field next to our yard, as well.

Although I do have to say we built the coop initially thinking we were going to get three or four chickens, but we somehow ended up with ten. Long story....

So we shall have to see how it all goes! This is definitely a new expirament for the Newsome family. And my wife has been the primary researcher on the matter. I'm just the breakfast chef eagerly awaiting the taste of scrambled eggs from my own backyard! (October, I'm told, is when they should start producing).
