No, sorry, not that I am aware of. I thought at one time there was one in Cincinnati?? Carry this on in the Ohio Forum....
Back to thread count. I see a lot of reference to oz weight except when I look at fabric to try my hand at an X-kilt. No weight to be found on the bolt or description on-line. I am speaking of local fabric stores. I have never found thread count but I can't say I was looking for it.

Linen testers have little ruler-like marks on the side so you can do your own thread count while peering through them. Small as a postage stamp, you can take it to the fabric store and make your own thread counts if you wanna. Pretty cool little gizmos and inexpensive too.

Lady Chrystel and I completely agree with you Ron.
It is fascinating thing to get "into" the tartan fabric , the stitches and the structure of a kilt.
Let us become great explorers of the micro world of kilting !
