That is very good, my only thought is that it is a shame that there is no indictation of the scale, a figure might have been good. I went several times as a child and just thought, it's big, I went a few years ago and was very much in awe at the sheer size of it!

Thanks for the link, Greg.
Until I get the chance to get there in person, it will do.

It has been a long time sense I have seen that view and I got just as dizzy back in the 60's as now just sitting in my desk chair only miss the sounds and smells.
Thanks,

Fantastic view! What a timely post. I'm visiting the UK next month and I'll be standing in that very spot!

Thank you for posting that site. Brought back a lot of memories. And the crow/raven in the background was ever so neat! Quite a few years ago i was given the chance to visit Stonehenge. At that time, people were not allowed to walk among the great stones, only to look from a fence. (Am not sure if the fence is still there to keep people from the stones.) However, the group that i was with were allowed to wonder among the stones and actually touch them. The energy was incredible! Two amazing things happened the days we were there. On the first day, a small flock of crows/ravens landed just outside the inner circle and proceeded to walk into the circle. We all just froze and watched the birds. Once inside the inner circle they seemed to "dance" for about 10 minutes. (Crows are my totem.) The second day, around noon, the sky went from clear to cloudy to stormy in about that amount of time. It rained like all get out and then one very big blot of lightning. And just as quickly it was clear! Nothing big or super natural, just really neat!
