The hall mark are Birmigham 1930 going by the web site. Makes me more convinced the sporran has been updated. Thanks for your info. Lorain

The sporran looks relatively new & none military, so I doubt it was a youth/drummer/piper of the regiment. Probably the young son of a military family.

The anchor indicates it is from Birmingham. The Lion shows that it is English sterling silver. The letter is a date letter. Here is a link to Birmingham silver including date letters and makers marks.
