Greetings from Hampton. You will find a load of information on this site. By the way, if you are not busy on 3 October, take a drive down to Rockahock Campground for the Williamsburg Scottish Festival. You will meet several Xers at those games, Bill from Clan Elliot and Mael from Clan Malcolm.

I will be at the SAMS tent. We have always had a good time in Williamsburg at those games. Hope to see you there.

Thanks all for the hearty welcome - I am still wading through the info on the site, and finding out more thoughts and ideas to aid in my decision for my first kilt (in the past, I thought than one would be enough... apparently, I was woefully ignorant!).

As TecScot mentioned, the research IS half the fun - it reminds me of the time well spent when I first got into Civil War reenacting. Sadly, I missed the Virginia Games at the new location in The Plains this year (I did like the scenic location of Sky Meadows very much), and was going to get my "games fix" at the Meadows (formerly Richmond) Games at the end of October.

Thanks for the heads-up about the Williamsburg Games next weekend. I'll drive down for the day, and look up David H at the SAMS tent, Sir William (Bill) at the Clan Elliott tent, and Mael at the Clan Malcolm tent. I'll be the guy in the bifurcated trowsers, asking a whole BOATLOAD of questions!
