Cold really isn't a factor as long as you layer properly. The pic below was taken last winter, about 10 F, at 7,000 ft. So kilt wearing during the colder months is fine by me.

Welcome from Battle Ground, just North of Portland about 20 miles or so. I wear year round, of course it doesn't get quite as cold as Bend, but it's really no problem once you get the hang of it.

This will be my first winter in central Oregon, but I think it gets pretty cold. A few weeks ago we had our first snow of the year. I think we got six inches. I just recently moved here from Norfolk, Virginia. Maybe I'll go snowboarding in a kilt!
