This vendor used to work under the name of Vintage Kilts. Would be nice if his pictures worked!

Hello All and Greetings from the Highlands. Aplogies for recent silence

Delighted to join in this thread as its about me and my website! Not so much a right of reply but rather a few comments to clarify matters about www.ministryoftartan.com for members

    1. I transferred the site from vintage kilts to MoT as I seemed to be getting so much good new stock from kiltmakers sadly closing down in Scotland so all of our stock therefore wasn't vintage

    2. Someone said our kilts were the price of a new kilts. A new kilt in Scotland now from a well-respected kilt maker will be £475 to £525. Delighted to say that most of our kilts are under or about £200 and wonderful quality

    3. Apologies for some lack of photos. We are rectifying that. However I certainly don't post picture of every Charlie or Argyll! Also if anyone wants pictures we can send detailed pics

    4. I send kilts all over the world...just this week Canada, Switzerland Amercia and Ireland. So pretty global. Redshank likes our kilts!

    regards from Loch Awe

I recently had the opportunity to deal with John for the purchase of one of his kilts, a Lamont Ancient pleated to the stripe. John is a pleasure to deal with and a true gentleman. His kilts are more than reasonable in price - I bought a handmade kilt, Locharren wool, with matchng flashes, shipped from Scotland to Texas for less than 300 pounds including shipping. The kilt looked brand new when it arrived, according to my wife, and arrived in a little over a week. I have yet to see it in person - currently deployed to Iraq. Will have to wait until mid-tour leave to lay eyes on it. But my wife has been in the mens clothing and fashion industry for many years, it's her career, so when she says it's a quality garment - I believe her. If there is a kilt that you're interested in, John is more than happy to send you as many photos as you request and will answer any and all questions. True, this is not a bespoke kilt made to your measure, but if John has something that suits your fancy and is in your size, it is well worth an email or two to get pictures. Keep in mind that this is not John's full-time job, so it may take a day to get a response, but get it you will.

When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."
