Some have been wondering why some of the soldiers were in their Combat uniforms. I talked to the RSM today and he said some have not been outfitted with their dress uniforms yet. The regiments pays for these uniforms themselves and certain sizes are in short supply. Once money is raised, more Scarlets will be purchased.

Those guys can sure march. My great grandfather played bugle in the 48th during the scond world war. And I had the priviledge of marching in the same parade as them this summer for the warriors day parade. They make the hair on the back of your neck stand up every time.

I thought just the opposite! Except for the Old Comrades, I've never seen such sloppy marching. The Old Comrades were in perfect step. The Cadets from SAC were fine, as was the Regimental Band. The first company is in step, but the second company following the Colours leaves something to be desired ( see the 2:30 spot, and notice the chap in khaki! ). And the cadets! Well, they are young, but look around the 2:52 mark and beyond. Wow!

Over all the marching was great. Some soldiers may be a bit rusty because they just got back from the battle fields.
