    Maybe someone can help me remember the name of the South African soccer sock manufacturer. Sierra Trading Company sold some seconds of theirs. Very thick, and long with a good turn down. Olive drab was a standard color.



    And, check out the Lewis Kilt hose at the Scottish Tartans Museum - best value there is for kilt hose in my opinion. Can't recall which green looks the most olive drab, but they have them. They'll help you.

    mea maxima culpa: sock it to somebody else

    The army "over the calf hose" sold by The Sportsman's Guide are NOT over the calf. Their Italian Army ones are and I think they sell another surplus one that is, but the USGI ones are mid-calf at best and not at all acceptable for kilt wear. Let my disappointment be your warning.
