I like looking at Guinness and watching people doing tricks like drawing on the creamy head with a pen etc, but I can't stand the taste !

Where was the Belhaven or the Fowler's Wee Heavy ?

You've obviously not had the pleasure of downing a few pints of the stuff in Ireland.... Guinness across the pond is an entirely different drinking experience that far surpasses the taste of what we get in the states

That was the reason that I mentioned Jake's earlier in the thread...most people who have tasted both sides of the pond are of the opinion that, for whatever reason, the Guinness at Jakes tastes like "over there" rather than "over here". How that can be is a mystery to all of us.

Many afternoon naps on the east cost of Baja California has addicted me to Negro Modelo. It didn't even make the list.
    "Are you on vacation?"
    "Yes"
"Are you in Cabo San Lucas"
"Do you have any money left?" "No" "Pacificao"
    "Yes" "Negro Modelo"

The PBR fit a friend of mine, too close.

Brilliant. I landed on Guinness, too, of course.

I have a little problem with it! When it's summer, and Guinness isn't on tap, I'd rather drink lake water with 3 years olds swimming in it than Corona! YUCK!

As for the days in the winter when Guinness isn't on tap, well I made it to the bottom. Still not my favorites, but not a bad choice. Have to add a choice down there asking if you live in South East Wisconsin, and if yes you go for Lakefront, Sprecher, or any others in a list of a dozen or more choices. :-)

Tomorrow is our Beer Club, The Milwaukee Beer Barons, annual Xmas party! The beer will be plentiful! My wife is a board member, so she has to go. I will likely go kilted. Considering wearing a Santa coat with my kilt ...
