Jim,
How would you rate the SWK Standard Vs the Heavy? I Have the SWK saffron in the Standard, great kilt but just a touch light.

Brooster, it's very similar to the Standard in both feel and weight. In that regard I was a little disappointed (although I'm very happy that it IS actual, genuine wool).
My next kilt, I pretty much guarantee is going to be wool, and something that has a wee bit of stiffness to it like my Marchbrae IoS. In fact, my IoS is hands-down my favourite kilt! I was very much taken with Hamish's MacMillan from them... Now I'm undecided on whether I should get that (6 yard 13 oz) or a Thomson Camel made by John Morrison (5 yard). The price difference is minimal.
Anyway, I digress. Back on topic: SWK Standard vs. Heavy = very, very similar, except the heavy does seem a bit heavier and isn't prone to pilling as the acrylic one is.

Nice to know, my next SWK will be a heavy. After owning wool, no going back. I am dissapointed on my SWK Gordon, after about a year it is really pilling.ith:
