We don't have any snow, but several days now of below freezing at night and just above during the day are wearing thin.
Beautiful pictures.

Thing is, it looks so lovely. We've a fair bit here too. Side streets have never been salted nor ploughed since it first started, so it's becoming more compacted and slippery ice. Main roads are fine. Problem was too many of us were dreaming of a white christmas !

Nice photos, Alex. Good to see you were able to get out and walk. Btw, did you ever find the car keys you had dropped in the snow?

Yes ! Snow brings light to the darkest of winters.

Yes, after some searching the following day while the sun shone I was able to find the indentation in the snow which the keys had made as they fell and was able to dig down with a gloved hand and retrieve them.

It's snowing here in Herscher, Illinois, we can expect up to 10 inches of snow by the morning..it's warm compared to the sub zero temperatures we had. Earlier this week, we started our day out at -4 f with wind chills at -18.

Yes, snow is very beautiful, but I'm not missing it here in Spokane this year. After the past two winters with 6' + snow it's nice to not have to shovel it.
