    Nargis kebabs - they were made on a BBC2 program recently - I think it is called Mum knows best, and it is presented by 'the hairy bikers' a pair of motorcycling cooks who tour Britain seeking out regional and quality foods and recipes.

    If you go to the BBC website there are all sorts of recipes seen on the program, the scotch egg variants were in the second program, Picnics.

    There is a recipe for sticky date cake made by the boiling method - not seen much these days but very British cooking rather than French cuisine.

    Not something to be watching when trying to lose weight though.

    A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet. However, I'm sticking with "Scotch Eggs." "Fortnum & Mason Eggs" just doesn't do it for me.
