    About the sporran, I bought a badger pelt at a gun show and a friend made it up into a sporran. The sporran was eventually supposed to become an Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders NCO/Officer sporran, and that's how big they are. (They look nearly as big as the long horsehair sporrans worn by the privates.)
    Alas I never got round to adding the six tassels.

    In The Highlanders of Scotland there are a couple fur sporrans which are the shape of a modern Evening Dress sporran, but much larger.

    About matching the tie and bagcover to the kilt, I still do that:

    (PS I wish I still had the pipes I've got in the 1980's photos, c1850 Glens...the pipes in the photo above are new Dunbars, blackwood, engraved aluminum, and palm nut ivory.)
