Looks great, I've got a similar leather shirt, picked mine up at the International Bike show a few years back. I never thought about wearing it with a kilt, but I might have to now. By the way
from Toronto, I'm moving to Peterborough tomorrow, I work up there and the commute was killing me, anyway, it looks good, perhaps you'll come out to one of the local kilt nights, if you're interested check out the SOKS events.

Greetngs,
Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I love the look of a traditional kilt worn in a non-traditional way.
Picked up the black kilt hose today to go with the ensemble and it looks great with the black biker boots.
McMurdo, I am have already joined the SOKS social group. As a matter of fact, it was a member of this webpage and of SOKS who got me onto this forum and mentioned SOKS. It's all his fault, and he gladly takes the blame.
And you can bet your best sporran you will see me at one of the SOKS kilt nights soon.

Matt

Greetings DetroitPete,
I have thought about tossing the old telephone pole around. Not sure my back would agree to it being a fun outlet for the manly man in me, but I am willing to give it a try .

Matt,
That's a great look.
What are you using for a kilt pin? It looks like a badge/star, but the shadows kind of block the view.

Greetings mull,
Yes, it is a sheriffs badge. I used to belong to a the Single Action Shooting Society. A cowboy action shooting sport. I did not have the kilt pin I had ordered from Ebay in yet so I used my badge. I like it so I may keep using it.

Matt

That's a great looking outfit. The thing will go with any kind of shirt or jacket you like.
But, uh, the hose seem a bit short. And I don't know about that white stripe on 'em.

Greetings,
Yes, I know the hose seem rather short and are striped. Back was a little sore to bend down and get the hose on. I will remedy that for a better picture.
As for Trudi liking the kilt, she likes the idea of the kilt but is not sure she wants to be seen with me in public LOL. While I am the loud brash type that loves to be the center of attention, my love is a little shy and does not like too much attention paid to her.
I am sure over time she will get used to it.
Thanks again one and all for the wonderul posts and I look forward to postin more pics with different looks for my new kilt.
With Greatest Respect,
Matt
