I voted Lagavulin as it is the favorite of the ones in my cabinet, but I forgot about Laphroiag Quarter Cask.

Surely you like one of these.

I have and like all of them equally well, at different times and in different moods. These are all top flight singles, and I don't know many folks who would kick any of them out of bed for eating crackers. Like women they are all different but all beautiful in their own way, and although I have chosen one woman to spend my life with, because of her particular beauty, I am not obliged to do the same with my Scotch.

Enjoy your scotch, and your poll.

After over half a century of intensive study in all known conditions the only conclusion I have been able to come up with is: All whisky is good, but some are better than others. I am afraid more in depth study will be required before I can narrow down the choice further. Rest assured that this important research is an on going affair.

Very close in the polls..... that's good.
I think Jeff put it best.... scotch is like women.... all are beautiful in their own way.
(some are cheaper than others too)
Fear is that I can never go back to cheap stuff.....ever. When I ventured out in beers... the same thing happened. I found that I really like the full body of a black or dark beer the best. Now if Miller Lite is all that's available.... I do without.
Life is too short and precious to drink swill.

I could not have said it better myself Jock (as a matter of fact I didn't say it better above). However Jock, next time I am in the Highlands I hope you and I have a chance to perform some contemplative and in depth research personally into this particularly vexxing and troublesome issue. It definitely deserves further looking into, and right quick too.

Here in lies the wisdom of experience. Some studies require a lifetime of research.
