That is very nice...a good detailed carving.. and to see the efforts put into something not seen by everyone shows the makers attention to detail... Wear it in good health.. and I look forward to seeing the pictures of you wearing it..

Its always a risk to push out the chips for a new untested vendor. You were well rewarded for your risk.
And thank you for sharing who she is. That's one of the great things about this board is we don't only share the vendors to be wary of, we share when we find quality craftsmen too.
I love it when we find quality craftsmen and we look at their work and think, "I don't care what it costs - I want it!"
Value and the beauty of a well crafted item beat out "I can get it for you cheaper" every time.

Now THAT's the way that animal heads SHOULD appear on sporrans!
Beautiful!

I'm usually the other way around and don't go in for art on the sporran. But this example has given me pause and I think I really do like it. It's odd and yet not over-the-top. It has a quite tasteful color-scheme and just a little whimsy. Great buy!

Very nice! The artwork (carving) is well done (very realistic). With your review, and a quick glance at his website, now I am considering a purchase as well. I am partial to the dark brown ones with the stag antler fasteners.
