Here's my sporran collection, all but 3 I've made and I guess most of them could fit in the novelty category. Now after reading this thread I've got some ideas for a couple more, such as on with a built in flask pocket, or one with L.E.D's on the front that a movement activated so the light up when you have a good swager!

On the subject of Cookie Monster, while at the Tartan Day festivities in NYC, I saw someone with a full mask Wookie sporran. But lets face it, if you are goin to do a muppet, I would think Snuffleupigus would be far more entertaining.

I've always envisioned Kermit the Frog as a great stand-out option. Being able to use it as a puppet as well would be great for a ceilidh act.

Absolutely not. Sporrans should not be "humourous", they should be proper and functional. Unlike BEEDEE whom has a "sheep" sporran with an odd look of contentment on it's face.

I wear a full face skunk. I bought it based on a discussion late into a Burn's Supper one night, that included a fairly drunken puppet show with a full face fox sporran that someone was wearing.

That was MacWage, the original photo is from Greenville Games 2007. There may be other photos of it in the archives. BEEDEE has a similar concept sporran.

Your sporrans are outstanding !!!
I love the ideas everyone here is using.
I used to have a wall plaque which I hung high on the wall of my hall to give a mock-baronial feel. It was clearly a soft toy deer, not an accurate replica, a humorous and smiling stuffed deer’s head on an equally soft toy shield-shaped plaque. I loved that head and much preferred it to the real thing (and no animals were harmed during the making of that production !)
Could you imagine if before 2006 the Argylls’ officers changed for economic reasons to soft-toy badger-head sporrans – “The Swinging Russ” ?
PS Remember on this forum, someone posted a pic of a Glasgow Sikh in a blue fluffy sporran ? Any chance to see that pic again ?

Eerily, I was just browsing eBay a few hours ago, looking for a "pig purse" (or equivalent). A friend of mine refers to sporrans as handbags and I want to temporarily replace mine with a "ham-bag"...
Some may say the glass is half full,
Some may say it's half empty...
But a Scot will forever say,
"Ar' ye gang tae swally tha'?"

I own three full-masks (Badger, Skunk, and Bobcat) and about to make a raccoon... but I've never really considered doing this. Maybe I ought to!
