I spent time at university in Galway and a summer in Belfast, so I've seen a good chunk of Ireland. This trip was basically just me acting as tour guide for my family, who've never been to Ireland before. Next time I go, probably next summer or autumn, I'll be spending more time in the Gaeltachtaí, which I didn't get to visit much this time because my family doesn't have any Irish.

Glad you had a good time, Greg. Looks live everyone enjoyed the visit.
Now, when are you finally going to just move to Ireland?

Love the fact that the Eau Claire Blue Golds were represented in Ireland. Nice photos, wish I were there. Thanks for sharing.

Beauty pix! My wife really wants to do the big trip to Ireland, but I've warned her that there's NO way we're going that far and not hitting the Highlands for a few distillery tours.

Just promise yourselves two trips, unless you can afford to spend a month or so on a single trip. They have distilleries in Ireland, you know.

That they may, unfortunately I'm not gifted in the loving of Irish Whisky. Besides, if I'm paying for a ticket for my little devil (ie, my son) we're 'once & done'. That extra ticket adds 50% to the trip total...
If it's during the summer, we could easily spend 3 weeks abroad.
