New Tewksbury Tank
These days my life always seems to be in a bit of a rush... including today... I'm late heading out the door... but I wanted to post a couple of quick shots of something that proves no matter how rushed life is, the best things are worth waiting for.
This latest work of art from Barbara Tewksbury is a tank done up from Weathered Stewart Old Sett tartan custom woven by Dalgliesh. Yes, that custom weave took some time as did the shipping. And then the cloth came and took its place in Barb's queue. It had the distinct honor of being worked on by Barbara alongside Hamish's Centennial kilt. And now it's here with me in Savannah.
Although Barb is famous for her work, and I expected great things, my expectations were exceeded in every way. I just can't say enough about the quality of this kilt and these two quick snaps hardly do it justice.
It may be 102 degrees in Savannah right now, but it's very cool where I am at the moment...in kilt nirvana!
