If my memory is correct, that includes exchange. The Canuckistanian dollar, affectionately known as the loonie, was rather weak at the time- our previous government held the value down until the loonie almost drowned.
The loonie. I remember one of Robin Williams's standup routines where he says something to the sort of "how can you take an economic crisis seriously with a name like that?" - something like that anyway. Not making fun of Canada. That just came to mind.

So called because of the bird, a Common Loon, depicted on our dollar coin. Anything else is editorializing. Which I would never do.

I have a friend that recommends a "all scotch" diet. He said he has lost 5 inches and two wives on it.

Yup...I've sold about 30 of my kilts because I "outgrew" them...

Thankfully I have been going the other direction. Though now all my kilts are on the smallest hole and need to be taken in. One kilt has already been taken in and is getting loose on me again it will be back to the tailor once she gets back from vacation. My one fear is that my kilt I have on order will be way to big by the time the kilt maker gets around to producing it. Guess its time to email her to advise of my altered dimensions.

I've been putting off purchasing my first "real deal" kilt due to the enlarged Guiness keg around my waist. However, I've read enough and consulted enough to know that it's not a HUGE deal to make a kilt smaller. But you can't add material if'n you are getting bigger. SO, I'm off to Rocky's tomorrow morning (3.5 hour drive) to get fitted for my first tank. Gunn weathered, 13oz. cloth. I'm stoked!

Hey, I've got one of those.
I can personally attest to the quality of Rocky's kilts. My Gunn weathered is amazing, and the quality of wool is excellent.

Awesome! I wish I'd have asked on here earlier for a picture. I've been laboring over which tartan for a while now. Gunn, MacNeil, or Mackay, and the three or four four choices for each clan! However, as a history buff, I just love the subtle, earthy tones of the weathered Gunn. I'm really excited, and Rocky's work comes highly recommended from more than a few of my close friends. It's reassuring to hear yet another recommendation, and that I don't have to lose the barrel of beer around my waist, ha ha......
Welp, I'm off to Phoenixville!

Yup, Kilts and expensive suits will hopefully do that for you.
When I started here in March I was in the midst of losing ~30lbs. I bought my first kilt at a 38" waist for an event. I'm down to the new last hole on each strap (I punched a new set on the extra strapping). My second kilt was a 36" which fits nearly perfectly.
Now that I'm pretty confident I can stay around my current weight, I'm starting the planning (and saving) for a custom made kilt.
As a bonus, all my suits fit again as well. (I hadn't had to wear them for work in 5 years, and they had shrunk in the closet)
