The IrnBru is awesome. A nice hot cup of Scottish blend tea is my favourite.
Imitations various alcoholic beverages are neither.

Folks can do some wicked things with strong cider
I should point out that this was non-alcoholic cider - a bit heavy on the clove, though...

I've wondered about non-alcoholic mead before. Is this something one is able to purchase or do you have to make it yourself? If you make it yourself do you go through the fermentation process and then boil the alcohol out?

I am having doubts on believing the pedigree of this non alcoholic whiskey considering it uses "scotish" instead of the standard scotch and lastly there is a "t" missing from the word. Maybe if an actually whiskey brewery were to attempt it I would have a look out of curiosity but that is quite obviously not a "product of Scotland". haha
On a side not non alcoholic beer is really popular here in Japan at the moment and it initially tastes like bear but the after taste is like off wheat tea. If you have never had wheat tea, it tastes rather wheaty.

That is true... I've had it and I actually rather like it because 1) it's highly carbonated and 2) it's not sweet. I generally dislike sweet beverages. But since Japan has a zero-tolerance drink-drive policy, it makes a lot of sense.
In the past there used to be LOTS of pressure on people to drink socially, especially during special occasions such as dinner parties and company functions. Friends of ours have never drunk in their lives (for religious reasons) and they used to have a very hard time when they went to such functions and they refused to let their glasses be filled with alcohol. The Japanese hosts would say, "But it's only for the toast. After the toast you don't have to drink it." But they still weren't willing to compromise their beliefs by even giving the IMAGE of impropriety, which occasionally made them rather unwelcome guests.
Nowadays it's MUCH different. I've been to many company functions and parties and on any given evening, at least 50% of the room (or more) aren't drinking -- and even do the toast using tea rather than alcohol. Some do it for health reasons and others because they have to drive later. But still, there's a subtle, underlying feeling that you (and everyone else) should be drinking alcohol. Or maybe it's just me. I don't know.

Ha! Okay so here's something interesting that I totally forgot about. I live in the States and I saw that the bottle said "Product of Scotland" so I expected it to take a second to arrive. Weeks pass and I give up hope that it'll get here in time for our supper. But! It shows up THAT NIGHT, nick of time, in a package so crushed and manhandled that it's no longer rectangular but a roundish lump of cardboard, product still intact, with a shipping label indicating it's point of origin to be Liepaya, Latvia. So no, I'm thinking it's probably not an actual "Product of Scotland!"

Now as an aside to this, I have often wondered why it is seen to be a scientific imperative to de-alcoholize (I know I made up that word) that which is inherently alcoholic, yet folks look at you funny if you were to suggest alcoholizing (there I go again) a drink which naturally has no alcohol.
