I'm baaaaaack!
Hi, X-Markers!
I've been gone from X-Marks for a long time, and I had not worn a kilt in a year and a half (I think I was recuperating from all of the transitions).
Today I wore a kilt to my new school...Rocky's American Heritage Tartan.
The secretary commented on what a beautiful "skirt" I was wearing. I explained to her the meanings behind the tartan, and she exclaimed "that is SO BEAUTIFUL! Especially since tomorrow is 9-11!" I had intentionally worn it today for that reason, sort of as a silent remembrance of all who have ever given their lives in service of our country.
I enjoyed wearing the kilt again and have been considering getting back to my old band.
THANKS, ROCKY & KELLY!
By the way, I sold off most of my kilts & have kept only four: Isle of Skye from USA Kilts, German Heritage from USA Kilts (Real wool! This tartan is to honor my Sister-mentor-best friend who died), American Heritage from USA kilts, and, of course, my MacArthur from Burnetts & Struth (another in real wool). I think my experience today has motivated me to start wearing them again!
