Seanachie, I understand your comments and please let me assure you that I did not post my frustrations lightly. In my last communique with Josh he thanked me for my patience and said that if he had to wait as long as I had, he would have had a cow. I am now in labour with that cow.
I know he has trouble with his communication providers, but he has posted on this board this morning (my time) so he must have some comms up. Pity he could not have sent me a PM or email at that time.
It is not that I have had to wait for the product I ordered, it is that I have had to chase him for info after his self set timeframes have gone by.
It's amazing the affect that occurs, when a vendor contacts you to let you know the progress of your order, even if it it's bad news. All I ask is that I be kept in the loop and if assurances are given, they are either kept or you are advised as to whats going on.

Apparently, Mike, you had access to my brain in these past months. I could not have expressed my own feelings better than you did. Only one thing I would like to explain for Seanachie and others reading this thread. I purchased two pair of hose from Josh to match two particular kilts. I sent him swatches and the hose not only match perfectly, but are superbly comfortable, as well. The problem I have is not with his product, it's with the stories he tells and the promises he makes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one............I contacted Josh for a PV kilt for a wedding late this year in July. He promised to send swatches for me to look at (between a few generic, non-clan tartans) and make a choice. I've sent 9 emails, I've sent PMs on here, and even resorted to sending a message to the person who referred me to Josh (a happy customer, it seems) to get him to tell Josh to contact me.
After being told repeatedly that the swatches have shipped (four times now, over the past 7 weeks), the communication, which was sparse to begin with, has dried up entirely. Getting desperate and recognising how my window of time was closing, I started looking elsewhere. Rocky was in the middle of a move and with his delays I couldn't be guaranteed I'd get my kilt in time, so I spoke to John at Keltoi. Over three days we exchanged many many email, John answered all my silly questions and has volunteerd a wealth of suggestions and points of guidance to me.......
Based on an enthusiastic review of the tartan from a Clan mate here, I have selected my tartan (sight unseen! I have never seen it anywhere other than a computer screen!) and, based on the reviews of you lot and my communication with John, I have ordered my kilt from Keltoi. From my dealings so far with Keltoi, they're rating a 10/10!
I just couldn't risk Josh telling me that the kilt had been posted and then finding out that he hadn't even made it when December rolls around.

Checked the SHO website Friday 5.00pm California time and saw that Josh was testing the new site, with a new telephone number. Tried to ring that number, got 2 rings then a telephone company recording saying that the number did not exist or had been diconnected. Wonder if it will be ready for Monday morning, as advertised. I wish
