Hello and welcome from Houston, TX. Good luck with your new hobby, which is a lot like golf - very rewarding sometimes, but with also a lot of frustration.

Greetings from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania!
There is no Cook County in Pennsylvania, but there is a Cook Township in Westmoreland Couty (western PA, near Pittsburgh.)
The Church of Latter Day Saints runs a great geneology site (familysearch.org) that may help you in your search.
Good luck on your twin addictions of kilts and genology!

There is also a "Cooksburg" in central PA near/in "Cooks Forest State Park."

Hi, PACook, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
I see you have picked a Macdonald tartan for your profile picture.
It’s a great tartan and clearly one you are entitled to wear. But possibly someone with the Macdonald name might object to your “owning” the tartan in this way.
At any rate it is good to know that you have cottoned on to your heritage and will be wearing the kilt.
Regards,
Mike
