I'm north of Dallas so intercity can be a good drive for me. Are you talking South Dallas? Arlington on anything else but a Saturday night isn't reachable for me. Not saying the kilt night can't be done just anything that far would be difficult.

I think that's an awesome idea. There's a restaurant somewhere out here called "The Tilted Kilt" and I think that would be ideal for a meeting of all the kilted peeps.
We're right off of 75 and Lovers Lane, close to Uptown. I'll let my husband know to get his kilt out and start pressing the pleats!

Well, we're interested, but won't be in town on 10/29 so if that's the date we'll just have to get by with photos!

I think it's a great idea. 29th is the middle of Halloween party time, though. Any other dates???

I'd forgotten that the 29th was a holiday weekend... may not be the best choice, then. How about Nov 6th, then? It's a Saturday in um... 2 weeks... I'm thinking we'd have better turnout on a weekend in general.
Taylea, the Tilted Kilt is up in Grapevine. Several of us met up there a few months ago. Not a horrible venue, but I know the nature of the establishment can be a deterrent to some folks.

Lethearen, thanks for the PM. I won't have my kilt until Christmas so might have to wait for the next one, but the location sounds close enough for me.

The Tilted Kilt in Grapevine works for me. I live not too far from the establishment.

We might want to get a survey of the ladies on whether that would be appropreate. My wife and I have been there and the food is great but it is a Scottish version of Hooters.
If it is agreed on I'm game.

As I mentioned, I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it, but if there's a vote... hubby and I would prefer something more like Trinity Hall even though it's farther away.
